During a brief trip to Santa Fe we spent a day strolling around the plaza, popping in and out of shops, and doing some window shopping.
The “guard” dog was alert and ready for, uh, action.

Most of the shops were open and ready for business.

There were very few tourists strolling around and almost no one else in any of the shops. It was a bit cold at 31*F, but we bundled and layered accordingly.

There is something special about Santa Fe that draws us back again and again for more than 35 years. We have seen it grow in population and development. During the peak of the tourist season folks are elbow to elbow which is why we prefer a winter visit.
We usually make a reservation at Sazon for an evening meal. Chef Fernando Olea blends together traditional Mexico style with locally sourced produce and meats served with a variety of freshly made moles. Sazon’s signature cocktails, displayed art, and intimate dining rooms add to the ambiance.
Happy Trails.
